Dr. Bhatia has extensive expertise in all facets of medical dermatology with an interest in the immunobiology of the skin. He has practiced medicine for over 20 years, and has served as Principal Investigator for numerous dermatological and cosmetological clinical studies.
Dr. Bhatia is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and sits on the Board of Directors for the AAD. He is currently an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, and is widely published and active in professional societies.
Aside from Dr. Bhatia's interest in clinical research, his main focus is patient care and serving as your doctor.
David began his career in clinical research at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, HIV Research Section in 2009 where he led patient recruitment activities for HIV prevention and vaccine
trials as the Community Programs Manager. He moved to San Diego in 2014 and served as Director of Patient Recruitment and a Marketing Consultant before joining the TCR team in 2017.
David supervises the staff at TCR and oversees all of the functions of the research clinic. He is responsible for the strategic and fiscal direction of the company; including budget and contracts, study execution, compliance, and patient recruitment.
David received his Bachelors of Arts in Radio-Television and Master of Arts in Communication Studies, both from San Francisco State University.
Geri Taitano is responsible for our front desk operations, and is our primary contact for patients, vendors and corporate guests. Geri greets all visitors, answers and routes phone calls. She also handles new patient registration intake, scheduling, private patient billing and also provides administrative help to staff.
Geri participates in the management of our building facilities, coordinating with various vendors for maintenance and repair. Supplies for the building, break room and general office, etc. are also coordinated and distributed by Geri.
Geri has an extensive background in transportation management. She has her Certificate of Completion in DOT HazMat General & Security Awareness and is responsible for any shipping of hazardous materials.
Marc Del Bono is a Certified Medical Assistant for Therapeutics Dermatology, and an assistant to the clinical research staff at TCR. He works closely with patients on daily care, advocacy, and education as well as on marketing strategies for the clinic.
Marc Del Bono graduated from Imperial Valley College in 2001 and continued his career in the fire service as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Vista Fire Department. In 2015 he graduated from Kaplan College with high honors in the Medical Assisting program. After completing his internship at North County Gastroenterology and Alliance Clinical Research he joined TCR in 2015.
Customer service, patient care and efficient laboratory operations are Marc's top priorities and he enjoys the clinical research aspect of the practice.
